This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come to school every day excited to learn! My school is a Title I school with 92.9% of students coming from low-income families. There is a high percentage of Latinos at my school. I teach students who are learning English as a second language.

My students may come from low-income homes, but they are motivated to do well in school, and they enjoy learning!

I teach 3rd-4th grade Special Education. My students have various disabilities including intellectual disabilities, autism, emotional disturbance, ADHD, other health impairment, visual impairment, and learning disabilities.

My Project

My students and I need various school supplies to help us start the year! We need Ziplock bags for take-home reading books, adhesive dots to help hold up anchor charts, glue sticks for cut-and-paste activities, pencils and pens to write with, etc.

The majority of my students come to school at the beginning of the year with limited supplies.

They may bring notebooks, a few folders, and a few pencils, but that's all.

Teachers have to supply almost all of the school supplies each year for our kiddos. As you can imagine, it can be very expensive so we have to pick-and-choose what is a priority, when we really need it all!
