This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a diverse class of motivated, powerful, and passionate students that are excited to  be in 6th grade.I teach in an urban neighborhood in Chicago that has a high rate of poverty and limited resources.

We offer free breakfast and lunch to all of our students.

Many of my students lack the means to continue learning at home.But with a little inventiveness, each kid encourages the others to push their ideas further. Each one of my students learn in a multitude of ways. It is essential to have the right materials that can accommodate consistently meet their needs, whether they are auditory, visual, or all three or include a range of hands-on tasks and assignments that can assist each student in improving their mental capacities and encourage the exploration of multiple new concepts. I'd like to do anything in my capacity to support my students achieve their goals in both education and life.

The classroom supplies are those that are absolutely essential for improving each student's learning journey. Each student will have acees to the materials and supplies that will be useful for every math lesson, including pencils erasers, Expo markers, and other items.

Every student is going to benefit from having all the resources they need to stay centered while giving it their all. With the help of these supplies, I will also be able to make anchor charts that will enable every student to think about the dialogues we have during our mini-lessons. I will be able to provide snacks, and hand-on tools like dry erasers and expo marker for our minis discussion that require the white board.
