Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students come from very low-income homes. Many of them can't even afford to bring a lunch to school, so they are given a free lunch every day. Despite their difficult home lives, many of them are eager and ready to learn. Our second school semester is fast approaching and basic school supplies will be needed for my students to be successful and complete their daily assignments. Given the right materials, these students will be able to thrive each day and become stronger students.

My project is meant to provide each of my students with the necessary school supplies for the second semester of this school year for all subject areas.

My students will get to use the supplies right away. They will use the materials across the curriculum in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. The Primary Journal composition notebooks will help them explore the wonderful world of writing. The folders will be used for homework. My wonderful students need plastic pencil boxes to keep all their pencils, crayons, scissors, etc. organized during the school day. The materials that I am requesting will help to keep my students organized and focused on learning. They will not have to worry about not having supplies to get them through the day.
