School Supplies Needed for Successful Students!

My students need tape to use in their science notebooks, black and red pens to write with, highlighters to help isolate important information, and five tab dividers to keep handouts organized by subject in their binders.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 30 motivated students, many who are English Language Learners, wanting who want to learn everything about anything. My students come from a low socioeconomic background, with limited resources available.

My 6th graders are incredible, they are eager to learn with the materials that are given to them and what their teacher can provide.

We are a Title I school in Sparks, Nevada, that was built in the 1950's, with 100% participation in the free breakfast and lunch program. Many are responsible for their younger siblings who also attend my school. They are determined to succeed and all work incredibly hard everyday.

My Project

The basic supplies I am requesting will be used in my math and STEM classes for the student to tape handouts into their science notebooks, highlight key words when solving word problems, and to have basic writing utensils daily. The supplies I am asking for will get me through the rest of this school year. I have been purchasing these things myself, but I cannot afford to keep it up on a teacher's salary. I sincerely hope that someone will be kind enough to help.

These supplies will make a huge difference in my students learning and improve their academic achievements.

Students will be learning the basic study skills they will require in college by simply providing them with these basic school supplies. The more organized they become the more successful they are becoming in their learning environment. These are supplies that my students use on a daily basis. Please consider funding this project so my students will have what they need for class.
