My Students
Hello! I will be teaching 6th and 7th grade learning support, ELA, and math in inner-city Philadelphia, where many of the students receive free lunch, come from low-income families, live with people other than their parents/guardians, and deal with many personal challenges every day. I want to help take some of the pressure off my student's families by providing them with the necessary school supplies that they will need throughout the school year to help them succeed and put their best efforts forward.

My Project
Many of my students come from low-income families and are not able to afford school supplies. I want to be able to give my students the supplies they will need to be successful in school. Pencils, composition books, folders, and many other supplies would help my students and their families who are unable to purchase the supplies for their children. The school supplies will be available for the students who need them from now until the end of the year.
By being able to provide my students with the necessary supplies, this will help keep my students from feeling embarrassed or becoming upset if they can not afford their supplies.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
