Help me give my students their own personal school supplies so that they do not have to come into contact with others during this pandemic.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The school I work in is in a low income area. The families are either living in public housing or in shelters. The school itself allows for the scholars to have ample opportunities with the arts and technology. My students are absolutely amazing. They are hard-working and sweet. There is a sense of family in my classroom. My class is a general education classroom. The scholars are on all different academic levels that range from pre-emergent to above grade level. School supplies are difficult to come by. Most supplies are supplied by myself. I try to make our classroom a fun place to learn.
This year we are still uncertain as to how we will be teaching due to the coronavirus.
It will either be live, at home or blended learning will occur. Fortunately, the New York City Department of Education has provided the families with some form of technology. Unfortunately we are not permitted to use books or paper. However, young children still need to be provided with opportunities to hand write their assignments.
My Project
Normally I have a basket of materials such as pencils, crayons, erasers and scissors set up at each of the tables so that the students can share when needed. I did this to build a sense of community. Unfortunately, with the threat of Coronavirus looming, it is not wise for the kids to share their supplies. For this reason I have ordered supplies for each student to get their own. Once I have assembled the pencil boxes full of the supplies I have requested, the students will be able to leave them in their seat sacks which alleviates any issues of social distancing and touching each others things. I would also like to give them more digital resources that they can use at school or at home since paper is not a viable option right now. Going into this school year safety is the number one priority.
