This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a new teacher who wants to help build my students stamina and spirits. As a Title I school, funds and resources are often a struggle. Despite the lack of support in the home and lack of resources my students are eager to learn. They are open to new experiences and love to express themselves through music, art, math, curiosity and literature. They are treasures!

My Project

These items will create an environment of calm and welcome. By having all the school supplies they need, the students will be able to focus on their work. Having choice in seating also allows for differentiation. These supplies will also allow for organization in the classroom. When students know where things are and unnecessary supplies are stored and out of the way, students can focus on the objectives and explore in a safe and calming environment. Please allow me to help my students feel welcomed, safe, and successful in our classroom!
