My Students

Please help me give my students supplies needed to be successful this year such as composition books, erasers, paper, pencils, and pens.

My students come from a variety of social, behavioral, and emotional backgrounds.

Many of them do not have the supplies needed to be successful at the beginning of the school year, which negatively affects their learning experience.

I teach fifth grade at a Title I school located in Central Florida, and 98% of our students are eligible for free/reduced-price lunch. I teach reading, writing, and social studies to a total of 48 students. My students come from a variety of social, behavioral, and emotional backgrounds. Many of them do not have the supplies needed to be successful at the beginning of the school year.

I want all of my learners to have access to needed materials so they can be successful in my reading, writing, and social studies classes.

My Project

This project will provide needed supplies for students who arrive on the first day without any materials.

Each year, only a handful of students come equipped with the needed supplies; this project will provide all of my amazing students with the resources they need to be successful.

Not only are students embarrassed because they do not have the needed materials, but they also feel unprepared which negatively affects their learning experience. These resources will change my students' lives for the better because it will provide them with the basic learning tools they need for school. With these resources, my students will be able to participate in their daily lessons and be successful!
