This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me restock my classroom with essential items. As a teacher in a low-income school district, I want to provide all I can for my students to have the most memorable educational experience. Our students come from very diverse backgrounds. We have over eleven hundred students in our school. Over eighty percent of them receive free or reduced-price lunches daily. Over half of the student body is Latino and we have an extremely large ESL population.
These supplies will help us add some basic classroom necessities to our classroom which will enhance student learning and engagement!
These supplies include white boards, dry erase markers, bulletin board supplies and storage bins that will be kept in our classroom where they will be used for years to come.
Students can do great things when given the right tools to fuel their creativity and success. Having these supplies will allow me to continue to incorporate lessons that are fun, hands-on and engaging. These supplies are both important and fundamental for the day to day execution of our lessons.
