Help me give my students supplies at home such as paper, scissors and crayons to allow them to have a hands-on approach at home as an alternative to online instruction.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As so many of the students across the country, my students were forced into remote learning overnight. As a teacher, we were not given time to prepare materials for students to use at home to continue their learning. Most of their school supplies were left behind in the classroom and they were not able to pick them up for use at home. Many of my students live in shelters at this time, and their supplies are limited. During this pandemic, many parents were not working and what ever income they had was mostly spent on food for their families.
This upcoming school year, my students will not be prepared with supplies due to the economic situations that their families were placed during the pandemic.
I anticipate that remote learning is going to continue and this time I want to be prepared and send my students home with supplies that can help supplement their learning. I do not want them to be only restricted to online resources. My students are in the elementary level and they learn best with a hands-on approach.
My Project
Students will be limited with supplies at home as their families have been strongly impacted economically during this pandemic. They may not be able to buy supplies for their children as the new school year approaches.
These materials will allow the students to create projects at home and have a hands-on approach to learning during these remote learning.
Students will have an opportunity to be involved in more project based learning and continue to be creative outside of the online classroom. Not all students learn through pencil and paper, visual or auditory. Students also learn by creating and building. These materials will allow them this outlet.
