Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is located in the heart of South Los Angeles. My students are often exposed to gang violence, poverty, and broken homes. However, none of this stops them from trying their best.

My students are in 4th grade and in a Spanish Dual Language Program.

Despite the many hardships my students face daily, they attend school with smiles on their faces. My students are eager to learn and work hard at being their personal best!

My Project

Please help me provide basic school supplies for my incoming 4th grade dual language students. This school year, I will be teaching 50 wonderful dual language students. I am very excited to be able to return to the classroom after over a year of virtual teaching. Covid has greatly impacted my students and the community where I teach. Therefore, some of my families are unable to buy basic school supplies for their children.

By supporting my project, you will alleviate some of the stress my families go through because they can't afford to buy materials needed for school.

The materials I am requesting will help my students highlight important vocabulary words or phrases when they are reading. Also, the supply boxes will help my students stay organized and keep their school supplies safe in their desk.

I thank you in advance for your support and please help me bring a smile to my students' faces with school supplies.
