School Stress: Mental Health Learning Compassion

Help me give my students stress balls and storage boxes to help with teaching students compassion and helping with stress reduction.

My Project

A stress ball or hand exercise ball is a great way to learn compassion, helping other students learn how to relieve stress and muscle tension and exercise the muscles of the hand.

Students can listen and stay attentive for longer durations with support and compassion from other students.

Children who use stress balls have been shown to have heightened concentration in the classroom through learning compassion.

Stress balls were created to give students an outlet for their anxiety, and studies show they work. What makes them effective? Squeezing the toy gives your body the chance to release some of that pent-up pressure in a tangible way while talking to other compassionate students.

Our students are dealing with lots of stress everyday at school. Divorce, fighting, violence, assault, family violence and so much more. Please help me start a compassionate classroom with a collection of stress accessories and compassionate students.

Teaching my students about stress will help them learn to see the world through the eyes of another person.

Teaching students about stress and how to deal with it will alleviate suffering in other students. Measuring success in my students’ understanding of compassion will be easy as they relax and learn in our classroom. Measuring how another person feels can be difficult, but, happy children are very measurable.
