School Olympic Games for Happy and Healthy Kids

My students need 30 softball catcher gloves with balls, 10 junior footballs, and 1 set of Port a Pit Multi-Height Flex Hurdles for our School Olympic Games.

My Students

My students are very social and enjoy talking to one another, are active and have a strong need to move about. They learn best by collaborating and participating in hands-on learning experiences. Nothing makes them happier after a few hours of classwork than going out of the classroom for Physical Education.

My wonderful students come from a wide variety of cultural, social, and economic backgrounds, but they all have at least one thing in common: they love to participate in team sports and other athletic activities.

My Project

My project aims to create School Olympic Games that provide opportunities for all students at our small public school to be active and fit. The softball catcher gloves and footballs enable them to practice for and participate in team sports that will get them moving. The flexible height hurdles can be used in many different athletic activities that promote health and fitness. The School Olympic Games not only promote physical fitness and social skills, but also increase a child’s learning ability. It’s a known fact that student-athletes perform better in the classroom.

The School Olympic Games will get all students moving, active, and fit!

Not only do sports exercise their muscles, but their brain as well. Participating in our School Olympic Games is an excellent way to address a student’s need for kinesthetic learning experiences. It provides challenges that can only be solved through communication, collaboration, and perseverance.
