Help me give my students in my middle school modern band classes additional equipment so that they can learn to play their instruments and work together as a group, and play music for our community.

My Students

My students come from all over the county in which our charter school is located to attend school, and come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. My students love music! They are engaged, creative, and eager to learn. Several of my students have asked to bring an instrument from home to show their class, or share something they have done with music outside of school.

My Project

My school implemented two "modern band" classes this year for middle school. Modern band is different from "traditional band" in that the students learn to play guitar, keyboard, bass, and drums as opposed to flute, trumpet, clarinet, etc.

We are looking to supplement our current supply of instruments with an additional keyboard and an electric guitar, and replacement hi hats for a couple of our drum kits.

We are also needing stands for our keyboards and guitar straps for our acoustic guitars to be better equipped to play outside of school.
