School News Needs MoJo: Mobile Journalism Tools

Help me give my students Mobile recording kits so that they can report school events using equipment standard to today's journalists.

My Project

Mobile journalism tools like recorders and mobile phone film kits allow student journalists to break broadcast news directly from the scene as it is happening. These mobile kits enable students to quickly create content for online and social platforms- the standard platforms for their audience.

For today's student journalist, mobile and social media reporting are an essential part of the reporting process.

Mobile journalism is a path to engage audiences through accessible and flexible storytelling modes.

Students need the appropriate tools to cover stories promptly and efficiently. These mobile journalism tools in the hands of my students ensure they build their newspaper brand and produce a portfolio of stories.
