This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
After 27 years as a self-contained special educator, I have taken on a new role as an IEP teacher. I have the pleasure of using my skills to provide intervention for small groups of students throughout the school day. The students selected will be given instruction in very small groups to improve their reading and possibly avoid having special education services.
My Project
A fully functioning printer filled with ink is necessary to help provide intervention to students in various grades in order to meet their needs on the fly.
As a special education teacher, the ability to meet my students' needs quickly is very important.
I will need to print out various educational hands-on materials and games in order for my students to meet their individual goals and comply with the common core standards. The students' levels vary in reading, writing and math. I want to provide the very best for the children I call "my kids".
