This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I want my students to experience growing and learning in a school garden. The students will assembly the planter boxes, add the soil and plant fruits and veggies and flowers. We will use the garden to teach with a hands on approach all the 5th grade science standards on how energy is transferred to make plants live. The students will monitor and be responsible for watering, planting and maintaining the garden. We are very excited to grow and watch the process in our small school with no dirt areas. We can't wait to experience the garden process.
