My Project

I work with children and families that come from low-income and sometimes traumatic backgrounds. They are often from food-insecure homes and struggle to make connections with others. I want to create a classroom for these children that makes them feel safe, loved, and capable of reaching their fullest potential. I want them to come into our classroom and know they are loved and are capable of anything they set their minds to.

These materials will help me create an environment that fosters learning and creativity, while also creating a safe School Family for these children to grow and build connections.

They will learn to play cooperatively, communicate their wants and needs with confidence, practice social skills, such as sharing, and use their imagination to engage in thoughtful play and learning.
