Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are very enthusiastic about putting to use all of the things they have learned. They love project based learning. We have been working on developing a garden at our school. My fourth graders have used their knowledge of area and perimeter, and of California regions and history of farming to design gardens that will thrive.
By adding the element of composting to our gardening program, we will set a great example for our students and also introduce elements of waste disposal and life sciences into our daily routines.
