School Bathroom Service Project

Help me give my students the supplies to make our school bathroom a positive and safe space.

My Project

My advisory students are going to be taking charge of two bathrooms in our school. The kids would like to make sure they are stocked with the supplies a student might need and they would like to make the bathrooms a welcoming place for all, rather than a stressful and invasive experience.

The girls in our class have requested that we stock the bathroom with the necessary supplies for a menstruation station, they want it to feel like a safe and positive place to be.

They also want to hang posters, laminated images and vinyl phrases on the walls. We already have a Cricut and we can cut phrases and images using that, but we need some vinyl to use. We need to find some positive affirmations on Teachers Pay Teachers that we can print, laminate, and replace frequently because they will go missing.

Our men's bathroom will also get some love and attention, the vinyl requested will be used to update the walls with quotes and ideas. We will also seek out some printable signs from Teachers Pay Teachers to hang and use in their bathrooms as well.

The goal is for the bathrooms to need a weekly check and refresh once we are done. Our work on making this bathroom better will spread positive thoughts and feelings to our students. Perhaps it will also inspire them to take care of the spaces they are in.
