This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My special needs students with neurological differences learn best when they are exposed to hands-on opportunities. They are creative individuals but they lack confidence in themselves and their abilities. The purpose of wearing specific uniforms for our school-based work experience program is to provide my students with realistic employable skills that will also help build their self-worth and create school pride.

By receiving aprons and vests to be worn as uniforms while participating in our school-based work experience program, my students will be able to experience what it is to be a worker in the community and practice vocational skills.

They will also be able to continue to make projects using the Cricut Maker to design, cut, and press their own creations with a focus on entrepreneurship and developing business skills. By donating to this project, you will help build my students' self-worth and pride in themselves while acquiring vocational skills.
