Help me give my students personal learning packs for the supplies they need to reach their full potential during distance learning. My Kindergartners are eager to learn but need the right materials in order to succeed.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today." -Malcolm X
With the situation of our world today, I want to be able to help my students prepare for a future where they believe in themselves, no matter who or where they are.
We are a Title 1 School in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Most of the students at my school are English Language Learners and 100% of the students participate in the free breakfast/lunch program. My kindergartners are very enthusiastic and eager to learn. For most of them, kindergarten is their first school experience. I teach a class of 20 little learners with many different ability levels that need exposure to the same concepts in different ways. My students are motivated to learn but lack the needed materials at home to fully understand my lessons. Many of their parents are not able to provide them the academic materials that they need due to loss of employment because of the pandemic. Although my students are considered socio-economically disadvantaged, they deserve the same opportunities to enhance their learning as anyone else.
My Project
My Kindergarten students are in need of personal learning supplies and materials to use while they are participating in remote learning through classroom and individual zoom meetings. The at-home personal learning kits will provide my Kindergarteners with basic supplies- construction paper, glue, scissors, writing materials, and learning manipulatives- to enhance their learning at home. Included in the kit are a Magic Writing Board, which the students can use to practice sight words and letter formation, and Writing Journals that my students will use to write their compositions. These at-home learning kits will help make it easier for parents to help their children learn at home while schools are closed.
