This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every day we try to send home lots of pictures of the children to show their parents what they have been doing during the day at school. This allows the parents to catch a glimpse into their day, and facilitates conversation. It also shows our families that their children are safe, happy and engaged.
Building relationships with families is the foundation to children's learning and makes all the difference to the social, emotional, language and cognitive development of the children in our care.
By providing our class with an iPad mini and accessories, it enables us to continue to send home pictures to our families every day without the need for using our personal devices - increasing the safety of the children in our care and allowing for storage of the pictures in one, easy to access place for all staff to utilize.
It will also allow the children to take pictures of their creations and accomplishments themselves, allowing for a more engaging experience and building their self confidence and pride in their accomplishments.
