This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
During this year COVID19 has impacted my students not only emotionally but academically. It is crucial for students to continue fostering their reading skills, to increase their comprehension making them successful and avid readers. Unfortunately, not having the appropriate resources or reading materials for students make this task very difficult.
Including the Scholastic magazines in my classroom will foster reading curiosity and class engagement.
As a consequence, we can plant a seed that will grow in to future go getters. Reading fluency, Reading Comprehension and Science literacy is key for choosing a professional path for my students' future.
