My Project

My Students

My students come from a wide range background.

We endeavor to provide a quality education experience for all students. I teach 7th Grade Advanced Language Arts. By using the Scholastic Scope magazines, I will be able to both engage and challenge my students.

The Scholastic magazines have articles and materials that can be used to challenge students who are at all different academic levels. Fiction and non fiction content within the articles help to keep students interested. These magazines are a wonderful resource!

My Project

I am requesting copies of the Scholastic Scope magazine. These will be used to engage middle school students in both reading and writing. We will use these magazines to read articles from many different interesting and exciting genres. Students will read plays, poetry, short stories, and current events.

Many curriculum requirements will be fulfilled through the use of these magazines. Students will be analyzing theme, plot, vocabulary, the mechanics of writing, and many other elements of literature. Supporting ideas with textual evidence is also a skill that students will develop through the use of these magazines. Students will have various opportunities throughout the year to complete engaging writing assignments and projects.
