My Students

Welcome to our K-8 public school located in the heart of suburban Arizona. After teaching 2nd grade for 12 years, I have moved up to 4th grade! This active bunch consists of students who are learning English as a second language, students who have their own Individual Education Plans as well as students who have tested into Gifted Learning for quantitative, verbal, and nonverbal.

To successfully teach all of the essential and supporting state standards in all subject areas, teachers need to differentiate cross-curriculum content.

My Project

Scholastic classroom magazines combine authentic texts with digital resources to ignite student engagement and raise achievement in every content area. With Covid inconsistency, magazines can be delivered digitally, the perfect solution for remote instruction.

Reading newspapers, books, magazines, Internet resources, internet clips, video segments, are all powerful and endless sources of information that can be easily compared to a library or an encyclopedia, primarily because they give to the reader the opportunity to extend knowledge and facilitate self-education.

Using this curricular resource to combine English language arts, science, and social studies together helps promote engagement.
