My Students
I have 25 wonderful 4th graders who love to learn.
My students make teaching fun.
Anything I ask my kiddos to do, they happily do. They make teaching so fun because they love learning! We love to have fun and find ways to play and learn in our classroom.

My Project
Scholastic News is an amazing resource which helps connect my students' to current events while allowing them to read, write about, and debate current topics.
Weekly Scholastic News papers have vastly improved my students' reading, writing, and debating skills.
My students LOVE the weekly papers and topics. For example, this week, we debated if it was ok to sneak snacks into the movies. After the debate, we wrote about it. My students' writing has immensely improved through daily use of the newspapers. Whatever we read about, we write about. I create prompts for the articles and my students write using the newspapers.
My kids honestly enjoy reading and writing about the topics in the newspapers. In all my years teaching, I have never had such a powerful resource that helped reading, writing, and speaking and listening skills.
