My Project
My students are an inquisitive group of students who have a love for learning. I love being able to expose them to topics that they may not have been exposed to previously. In past years students have always looked forward to the day they get to explore Scholastic News Magazine.
Students love the first five minutes with the Scholastic magazine to explore on their own and look at the pictures.
Then we start to discuss what they have learned just by their picture walk, and then we start our lesson. It is a fun, hands-on activity that we can do each week. Topics are usually relevant to that month, such as Presidents Day (February) and fire prevention month(October).
