My Project

I would love to start next school year being able to provide great diverse nonfiction texts. Being title 1, our students do not have access to vast types of texts, especially with a small library or no access to a local library. This allows my students access they wouldn't normally have to texts. Scholastic News provides reading passages at their level that is modern, diverse, and full of current events. These stories help students feel connected to the world and their communities. It will not only help close reading gaps, but will help shape them to be involved citizens.
