My Project

The yearly subscription to Scholastic News magazines will greatly benefit my students. With a subscription, we will receive enough magazines to read one per week for the remainder of the school year. The magazines include engaging texts, skill-building activities, videos, and audio, and bring excitement to science, social studies, and reading.

Scholastic News is many teachers’ #1 choice for current, on-level nonfiction, and is an exceptional magazine to engage their students, build nonfiction-reading skills, and increase content-area knowledge.

The magazines link to social studies and many other non-fiction topics that are essential to learning. And, the magazines are also linked to grade-level standards!

Our class is also in need of a few essential craft supplies, but the biggest is some paint! We do many crafts throughout the year and paint is a necessity to complete them.
