My Students

My students are an energetic group of children, coming from a variety of backgrounds. They are smart and eager, possessing an awesome drive to learn. Their learning abilities span across the spectrum, making them a unique group to work with in the classroom.

My students use school as a stepping stone for their futures!

School is an outlet for creativity and expression. Each student brings a different attribute to our classroom. Their diversity and passion for learning is so unique and strong that they ultimately deserve the best!

My Project

Scholastic News is a great resource for our Social Studies curriculum. It is a magazine that provides information about current events and history in a child-friendly way. Along with the magazine, an abundance of resources are offered for use on our Smart Board and at the students' desks.

Scholastic News promotes scholarly work with Social Studies!

My students will have the chance to investigate items like "fake news" or debate over the idea if it is ok to sneak snacks into a movie. They will travel back to ancient Egypt, learning about King Tut, and how archeologists are working diligently to clean up parts of his tomb. They will work on saving the sea, learning how different types of pollution are affecting sea creatures and various sea life.

By donating to our project for having Scholastic News in the classroom, you will be giving students a chance to look at Social Studies away from a textbook. The issues written in Scholastic News are important and relatable to my students, but also give lessons on historical events necessary to social learning. Thank you in advance for any donation! We greatly appreciate it.
