My school is located in a small rural town.

My school is a great school to be a part of. The atmosphere is safe, fun and welcoming to all students. Students come in eager to learn and to succeed. I believe that all students have the capability of succeeding in school. I currently have twenty-one students in my homeroom class and 19 in my E.L.A. class. I want to provide my students with the best possible learning experience that I can.

My Project

This project will provide my first grade students with nonfiction reading resources that are engaging. These magazines will also help provide as a way to supplement our reading, science, and social studies curriculum. Scholastic news is not only a magazine subscription. It also comes with an online account that will provide my students with an online copy of the magazine as well as videos and songs that go along with the topics in the magazine.

This project will provide my students with a nonfiction magazine that all help them become better readers as well as learning about science and social studies.

Having an online subscription also provides my students with a fun and engaging way to learn to read and learn about science and social studies.
