My Students
Our students come to our school often as a last resort. Many have been removed from other settings due to behavioral issues but our school provides the small structured setting that makes learning conducive and gives them opportunity to thrive!
My Project
Scholastic magazines are an amazing resource to help expose students to current events and they help to create a culturally responsive classroom environment. Topics are relevant, yet appropriate and neutral. Students can form healthy debates since multiple perspectives are always provided. Not only do we have a physical copy to use, but there are digital resources we can use to help students learn at home as well! On scholastic’s digital resource website, there are also standards based lessons and a variety of activities to go with each article. This subscription can provide my class with 10 issues!
