This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My bilingual kindergarten students are creative, inquisitive, and love to learn! My students live in an urban, low income area. Their families are doing everything they can to provide their children with the necessities of life during these difficult times, to which we can all relate. We have transitioned from remote learning to in-person learning, and my students come to school ready to learn. Providing my students with appropriate materials is key for their academic success.
My Project
My students will greatly benefit from this magazine because it covers topics they need to learn. The magazine provides an activity section for students to complete and check their comprehension of the topic.
The Scholastic Let's Find Out Spanish print and digital magazine covers concepts for my students in all subject areas, and for their different learning styles!
The magazine covers the Kindergarten Common Core Standards such as print concepts, letter recognition, rhyming, sight words, main idea, key details, critical thinking, and sequencing.
My students will be able to view videos and provide them with additional activity sheets for each topic. It is a great resource which provides material for all my students’ learning styles (i.e., audio, visual, kinesthetic).
