My students need pocket charts to help with learning schedules. These charts allow them to have personal charts, as well as larger charts for the whole class.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class has students coming in and out every day. By the end of the school year I want my students to be able to read a schedule to be successful in life. "Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom" George Washington Carver.
My students all have varying disabilities.
A majority of my students have to be on a strict schedule and being able to recognize one is important. They all in different grade levels and all go to different pull outs. My students in addition to pull outs they have PT, OT, and Speech Therapy. They are all also learning to go to the restroom which needs to be added into their schedule. My students love to go places, but they have to know when they are leaving versus when others are leaving.
My Project
Each student will receive their own pocket chart with a daily schedule with pictures and words. There will also be a main schedule on the board for everyone to see, since there are so many pull outs through out the day there needs to be separate schedules for everyone. This will allow them to know when they are going, it will also benefit myself and the educational assistance's in my class.
This project will help my students know schedules, and it will prepare them for their futures in jobs or when they reach high school and need to know where they need to be everyday.
