Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my 28th year teaching and my 4th year working as a reading intervention teacher. I've been trying so hard to motivate my students to do more reading at home by giving them daily reading homework. Every time they bring back the reading homework completed, they earn a sticker on their chart. For every ten completed homework assignments, they can get a prize from my treasure chest. I noticed that my students love scented markers to highlight their sight words and the word parts that we're working on.

With this project, I will be able to provide scented highlighters, pens, and squishy toys that my students love.

They work so hard to earn their prizes, and I would love to continue to provide the prizes they deserve.
