My Project
My students struggle with assessments. Sometimes it is a lack of confidence. Sometimes it is a lack of focus. Sometimes it is just the inexperience of not practicing effective test-taking skills.
These supplies will help my students train them selves to focus and deliver their best test performances.
When visual distractions slow them down, they will have privacy dividers to limit what they see. When auditory distractions pull them away, they will have ear muffs to block out noise.
Many of my students with special needs ask for ways to reduce their stimulation in the classroom. All students need a way to manage themselves sometimes!
I will talk to my students about test taking strategies and use the book to work on overcoming test anxiety. The little timers will be useful for students to set simple goals for themselves to stay focused. "How many questions can I finish in the next five minutes?" Setting goals and self-management are tools they need to be successful in my classroom and in the rest of their life.
