Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Less worksheets and more hands-on activities! That's my philosophy in teaching math. Learning tools are important to engage students in active learning and the geometric solid figure kits and the student clocks are exactly what my second graders need!

My twenty-four energetic second graders keep me working hard!

I teach at a high-need school, serving students of low socio-economic backgrounds. Despite these barriers, my students are enthusiastic and strive to do their best. As a child, I enjoyed learning math, and I want to pass this passion to my students through active learning. I believe students achieve greatly when they are engaged in learning that involves resources they can touch and interact. This year, my students need it more than ever. They arrived to my class performing below grade level, and are in need of resources that makes learning math fun and easy in order for them to improve substantially.

My Project

My students need a class set of geometric solid figures kit to help them learn math vocabulary, such as faces, edges, vertices, and different solid figures through building. We also need a class set of student clocks for them to interact with during time telling lessons.

Your generous donations will enhance my class and all my future students' learning experiences.

I deeply appreciate any donation that you can give in making this wish possible, and making math fun!
