Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a new teacher who was just hired a month ago. I am in a 5/6 combo class and am excited to make my classroom a safe and welcoming learning environment. My students are eager to learn and excited for the second half of the school year. I am the first teacher in this classroom, after months of subs.
I am looking forward to teaching meaningful and engaging lessons in all subject areas, with a focus on math and science.
The small whiteboards can be used for whole class lessons as well as small group. The whiteboards will give all my students the opportunity to participate, without having to share out loud. I can also monitor student work and do "quick checks" with them.
I would love to have a laminating machine to laminate some of the bulletin board items so that I can preserve and reuse them for several years. I am also wanting to set up my classroom to be a place that is exciting and welcoming, using the fun borders will add color and character to our classroom.
