My Students

Sports are finally back to being as normal as possible in this post-pandemic school year. With that, we have an opportunity to give these student-athletes a fresh start to the new season. Not having a full season last year prevented us from fundraising and replacing a lot of the essential day-to-day items that help the program take the next step in helping these students.

Baseball provides these students the outlet to build individual and group skills that apply to multiple facets of life.

Baseball is special and valuable as it is the perfect blend of teamwork and individual performance - one does not outweigh the other.

My Project

Baseball is back in full swing, or as much as it can be and our team needs your help. This years brings back a full season of baseball for SLHS and we need to refresh on some of the essential equipment we use on our day-to-day.

Being able to help these student-athletes grow is not just about having the time, but also the right equipment.

Having the opportunity to replace old screens and helmets provides a safer and more productive environment for everyone involved. The way each of these items will help:

Baseball Helmets- Will be used for games and batting practice as protective gear replacing old ones

Buckets of Baseballs- will replace old waterlogged and torn baseballs. This will allow for batting practice and infield practice to go on without damaging other equipment and be safer overall.

Batting tees- Will be used for drills and batting cage work.

Tennis Balls- Will be used for drills and batting cage work

L Screen- will be replacing old l screens in batting cages increasing safety

Field Screen- Will be replacing old screens used on the field during batting practice. Will increase the safety of batting and fielding practice.
