My Students

Imagine the excitement on a little 5-year-old face when they realize the book has pictures of them in it?!?! We need a digital camera for our classroom so we can put these books to life for the Kindergarteners!!

My classroom is filled with energetic little 5 year olds that bring an excitement of learning to every lesson.

They are eager to see what each new day brings them in Kindergarten and I'm always eager to see what each of them will bring ME each day. We are in the heart of America. Farming is our communities income. Many of my students are from low-income families, and single-parent families.

My Project

A digital camera will make daily lessons exciting and personal for my students. They will understand new concepts quicker when the information is being taught through photographs of themselves in different settings. The students will be excited to write sentences or books with pictures of themselves or pictures they have taken as the illustrations to their writing. My little ones will remember key concepts such as addition or graphing with pictures of themselves used in the lessons.

The digital camera will enhance their overall learning experience in our classroom.

The students will also learn that caring people, some even strangers, want to help make their Kindergarten experience a memorable experience!
