Savvy First Graders Love Learning with iPads!

My students need 2 iPads with protective cases to use in the classroom setting to support math and literacy skills using interactive educational applications.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Yoder's classroom raised $1,093

My Students

Smart and savvy first graders will thrive with iPads! Many of my students come from low socio-economic backgrounds with very little access to iPad technology. By providing my students with these two requested iPads, I will be giving them the opportunity to learn with the most current technology available.

My students are excited about learning!

This year, with the integration of Common Core, it is time to close the learning gap! Many of my students only have access to computers and technology at school. By providing my students with the opportunity to learn, explore, and create using iPads, I will be fostering their love of learning. As an educator, I have to stay current with technology and be creative about its use within the classroom setting. By integrating the use of iPads, I will be able to give my students the opportunity to use educational applications to help give support and daily practice in essential math and literacy skills. My students will be able to practice addition, subtraction, measurement, time, basic fractions, phonics, spelling, and comprehension, along with countless other educational skills.

My Project

Using the two requested iPads, students will be able to work independently or in partnerships to explore a variety of educationally-based applications. The beauty of using iPad technology within the classroom setting is that my little first graders will be so excited about "playing" educational games that many of them will not realize that they are actually learning and practicing essential skills that with help them be successful learners. Technology is, and will always be, a very important part of my students' education and their future. It is my goal to inspire my students to love school and never stop learning! I want to ensure that my students have access to every tool available that will help them be successful in school and in life.

By making a donation to this project, you will be giving my students access to the most current tablet technology available.

We will be using these iPads for shared research; educational applications in math, reading, and science; introducing music; exploring and creating digital art; and many other innovative experiences for years to come.
