My Students
Our school is located in the special community of Woodside, NY. It houses over 1500 students and our delightful children speak over 70 language daily. They come from a myriad of countries such as China, Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras and Bangladesh. Each and everyday I see my children, they light up my world with their smiles. They're always ready and willing to learn everything about the world about them. They are resilient and determined to meet every challenge that comes their way whether it be from home or at school. We are a community of learners that respect one another and I always try to foster an environment where there is mutual love and respect. My students are my world!
My Project
From a young age, it is imperative that children understand he importance of literacy and how it impacts their potential for future success. With the onset of the covid-19 pandemic, it is even more important that children are exposed to the important concepts. These concepts will include needs and wants, being responsible, saving, banking and income. These dry erase boards will be used to assist in learning how to form and write key financial literacy concepts. The back side of the dry erase board will be used to draw and label these vocabulary terms. The lined side will be used to show their understanding of these concepts.
