My Students
It's so much fun to play a song you know on an instrument!
My elementary students are working hard to learn how to read music.
They come to music class with incredible energy and excitement even though they may face tough times at home and in the neighborhood. As a school, we are trying to grow socially as well as academically, and we are making great progress.
My Project
With a classroom set of handbells, we will be able to have a clear motivation for reading music. Students will need to be able to read the music to know when it is their turn to play their note in the song. Students will practice taking turns and kindly helping each other so that the whole song will sound good.
By working together with these handbells, students will be able to play songs we know and compose new songs.
They will build a bond with their peers through working hard, being creative, and sharing their work with others. Your support will help them build this amazing bond.
