My Students

I am an Elementary Special education teacher, general education. This year I teach elementary students. I pull a small group for specialized instruction to help bridge the gap between them and their regular Ed peers.

JCE is home to many military students which makes our student population very diverse.

Elementary School EC services are such a vital time and need to help students with as much support is needed to grow them as much as possible. My students needs vary within the classrooms and differentiating is a huge part of my job to ensure the student are learning the content on their level.

My students are full of energy and love their technology! They love to do centers and stay up and active during their independent working time.

As a school, we are trying to make learning fun and enjoyable. We want our students to understand why it’s important for them to learn & grow their minds. We do this by lesson planning engaging lessons where the students learn and have fun.

My Project

The use of whiteboards is used almost daily in my classroom, especially for phonics and math. Every year we struggle with whiteboards, losing erasers, and markers drying out. It is always such a distraction to the learning environment when the students have to ask for a new marker or tissue in place of their eraser. So the next thing is paper, as a very eco-friendly and eco-conscious teacher I try to do my part by helping the Earth. So, these LCD writing tablets will serve as a great reusable resource for my students to use in all subjects to jot down notes and solve problems without the hassle of what comes with using a whiteboard.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus but you will also help us move one step closer to saving Trees!!

Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
