I teach 108 5th grade students life and study skills at a charter school. Our school cultivates the leaders of tomorrow and curriculum includes a focus on fine arts.
We are currently using hundreds of sheets of paper each week. All of our curriculum is standard and objective based and we rely on assessing kids on their application of knowledge. We do not use many worksheets. We rely heavily on donations from the community and parents for supplies. We have no budget for supplies.
The 20 white boards will be shared and utilized by all 5th grade students. We have figured that we reduce the amount of paper used in the classroom by 75% by using a reusable resource. The benefit of this will be an overall reduction of cost as well as conserving a important natural resource, tree!
