My students need 8 solar kits to investigate ways of using renewable energy to help fulfill our growing energy needs.

My Students
Our students face a daunting task of trying to find new solutions to help reduce our carbon footprint on the world. They will need solar panels to understand electrical potential, electrical current, and to be able to set up their own solar panel systems to help save our planet from pollution.
Most of our students are low income students who get reduced and free lunches.
They are a great mix of ethnic backgrounds from African-American, Indian, Middle Eastern, Asian, and Caucasians. They are in 7th and 8th grade learning middle school science, language arts, reading, and social studies. They are a wonderful group of kids who have potential to be great with high aspirations. With the proper guidance and assistance, they can make achievements and bound higher than before.
My Project
We are humbly requesting eight solar panel kits where students will be able to conduct their own investigations about the conditions that will optimally affect the electrical output of their panels. They will conduct their own hands-on experiments to examine how angle, light conditions, temperature, and placement will affect the amount of energy that can be captured by solar panels. They will also use the energy collected from the panels to help charge their electronic devices like cell phones, game devices, and computers. By conducting these experiments, students will learn how to setup their own solar panel systems, know what materials they will require, learn how to set them up, and use them so that they will be able to rely less on fossil fuels and more on renewable energy.
By helping to contribute to this project, students will be more interested in science, help them understand the world that we live in and how it needs our help.
They will be able to learn about electricity and energy in a new and fascinating way. Please help them to learn about a bright new future in renewable energy and how it can power our lives without destroying the world we so desperately need.
