Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Earth Day is one of my favorite subjects to teach. Earth Day activities can have the longest impact on our students' lives. They learn to love the earth and take ownership of their actions towards the planet they live on.
I love to see the excitement in their eyes as they see seeds turn into plants and caterpillars into ladybugs and butterflies.
My students are all low income and live in the inner city. They do not have the opportunity to explore the woods and see the miracle of the life cycles needed to keep our world thriving. These products will help my students learn to care for the fragile ecosystem of our planet!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
