Our school is a Title 1 School in Dickson, Tennessee. Despite many hardships at home, my students are some of the hardest working kids you will ever see. They are excited about learning and love coming to school each day. It is up to us, the teachers, to make sure to keep our students engaged and continue that love of learning for when they leave us for middle school!
Our students are awesome.
They are kind, generous, and have so much potential to make true differences in this world!
My Project
On August 17, 2017, our school is in the path to view a total Solar Eclipse. For most of our students, this will be the only one they will see in their lifetime. In order to safely view the eclipse and see the corona, we need solar glasses for all our students. We can also use these glasses for other projects involving solar studies!
This is a once in a lifetime event!
Remember where you were when Challenger blasted off? Remember where you were when Haley's Comet flew overhead? This solar eclipse will be one of those rare events that our students will remember where they were on August 17, 2017! Please help us be able to provide our students with this opportunity!
