My Project
My students love to read! There are all sorts of ways for students to read these days, but much of the reading that our students do happens on the computer. While many students prefer this, there are also students that excel when given a hard copy of the text. For some students, there just isn't a replacement for the ability to grab a pen and underline the important sentences, to draw arrows from one paragraph to the next and write their thoughts in between.
Yes, technology is a great asset for our classroom, but there are many students that desperately need to take their eyes off of the screen to think to their full potential.
To that end, this project will add an additional option for my students to print a text that they are reading during class. If there is ever anything that they feel they would benefit from printing out, I want my students to be able to print themselves a copy, grab their favorite pen, and start marking up the text.
Please help my students take ownership of their learning. Help me give them the choice to personalize their learning experience to best fit their needs.
